Weather the Storm

During this season there have been many times where I have felt like giving up and have felt like the weight of my circumstances could crush me.  I've heard that as a Church Body that many of us have felt the same way:  tired, burdened and at times overwhelmed.  Maybe it's time for us to just give up and let Yahweh be our strength, let Him be the roots of our palm trees, let Him grow our roots so that we can be mighty palm trees able to withstand the storm and the hurricanes and have victory in Him.

-I am weak, then I am strong 2 Corinthians 12:10
-Yahweh will fight for you Deut. 20:4
-We live in victory 1 Corinthians 15:57

Living in God’s Presence

Here are some tips to help you stay in the Presence of God all day

By Connie Sinnott, and Trish Warren

1.    Start your day by saying “Good morning” to the Lord to connect with Him spirit to Spirit, and to enter into His Presence as the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning, and let it also be the last thing you do when you lie down to sleep.

“If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you”. (James 4:8)

2.    Ask God for grace for the all the things that will come your way during the day. He promised that His grace would be sufficient for all that you need according to His riches .(2 Corinthians 12:9)  He said He would pour in hope & love (Romans 5:5), and that He would strengthen us with all power, according to his glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully give thanks. (Col. 1:11 & 12)

Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

3.    Keep your soul clean. Every day loose out of your soul anything that is hindering you in your walk with God. Our soul tends to collect things – things that are said to us, things we experienced, and things we watch or participate in. (Ephesians 4:31-32; Eph. 5:3,4)

4.    Play worship music in your home all day – even when you are not at home. This creates an atmosphere of love and adoration to the Lord. It will fill your soul and draw your spirit to the Lord and His Presence.

5.    Stop to pause in God’s Presence numerous times during the day to connect with the Lord and tell Him how much you love Him.

6.    Enjoy Him!   As Bill Johnson says, “Spend time just being the object of His affection”.

Psalms 16:11 – “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
